FOUR PAWS is an international animal welfare organisation with headquarters in Vienna, Austria, and offices in 14 other countries. Founded by Heli Dungler in 1988, the organisation strives to help animals in need with sustainable campaigns and projects. FOUR PAWS focuses on animals that are directly under human influence, for example stray dogs and stray cats, farm animals, companions animals and wild animals kept in inappropriate conditions. FOUR PAWS aims to help animals in need directly and quickly.

We are searching for a positive thinking personality with great affinity to animal welfare from as soon as possible:

Project Manager (m/f/d)

Main duties:

  • Responsible for leading an integrated/cross-departmental approach to planning and execution of key projects and events
  • Responsible for managing assigned projects in coordination and consultation with all relevant FOUR PAWS Switzerland departments and external partners including Arosa Bear Sanctuary
  • Responsible for maintaining an overview of fundraising, communications and programming activities and always aims to harmonize processes between departments
  • Ensures that planning and execution always prioritizes securing the maximum impact of our investments in order to support our work for the animals
  • Responsible for planning and managing budgets related to assigned projects and events
  • Contributes to growing our supporter and donor base through the execution of high quality activities and events



  • Relevant professional and/or educational qualification and experience
  • Excellent interpersonal communications, negotiation and coordination skills
  • Significant experience in project and event management
  • Ability to build rapport and collaborate with others within the company and externally
  • Structured, detail- and solution-oriented
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise work based on organisational requirements
  • Experience in building strong relationship within the team and with the business partners
  • Fluent German (spoken and written), English is an asset
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Highly motivated and flexible
  • Ability to work on weekends occasionally depending on event schedules
  • Great affinity to animal welfare and FOUR PAWS issues and values
