Your contribution will be 

  • Being responsible for the professional and disciplinary management of the accounting department as well as development of the accounting team
  • Being responsible for the accounting (financial, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets and payroll accounting) and tax matters of VIER PFOTEN – Stiftung für Tierschutz and affiliated gGmbHs
  • Preparing monthly and annual financial statements (according to HGB) as well as documents for the annual audit (incl. so-called “Mehr-Sparten-Rechnung”)
  • Implementing liquidity planning and supporting liquidity management
  • Optimising existing and implementing new financial processes
  • Coordinating projects for the further digitalization of the accounting department
  • Acting as the contact person for auditors and tax advisors as well as consultant for other departments at FOUR PAWS and affiliated companies


Your profile ideally illustrates

  • University degree in e.g. Business Administration/Management, Audit, Accounting or comparable qualification (e.g. certified management accountant)
  • Several years of work experience in accounting
  • Work experience in non-profit organisations is an advantage
  • Existing management experience is an advantage
  • Fluent in written and spoken German and English
  • Very good knowledge of accounting regulations according to HGB as well as good knowledge of German tax law
