FOUR PAWS is an international animal welfare organisation with headquarters in Vienna, Austria, and offices in 14 other countries. Founded by Heli Dungler in 1988, the organisation strives to help animals in need with sustainable campaigns and projects. FOUR PAWS focuses on animals that are directly under human influence, for example stray dogs and stray cats, farm animals, companions animals and wild animals kept in inappropriate conditions. We are searching for a positive thinking personality with great affinity to animal welfare as soon as possible:

Main duties:

  • Providing assistance to the veterinarians for effective treatment and neutering of stray animals in the veterinary hospitals of FOUR PAWS in accordance with the mission and policy of the Foundation
  • Being responsible for the good condition of veterinary hospitals of the Foundation, the equipment and tools stored in them
  • Ensuring the proper storage of medications, laboratory and other supplies
  • Being responsible for the accomodation of adopted neuter and treat patients in veterinary hospitals at FOUR PAWS and checking for identification of each new animal received
  • Strictly following the procedures for working in the veterinary hospitals of Four Paws
  • Responding to signals for animals in distress if necessary or on the instructions of the line manager involved in the team
  • Performing the necessary animal identification in accordance with legal requirements
  • Manifesting animal welfare in the process of work, according to the reqiurements of the Veterinary Law and the Law on Protection of Animals

 

Requirements:

  • Education in the field of medicine: veterinary technician; nurse
  • Previous experience in working with animals
  • English skills are considered as an advantage
  • Willingness to travel
  • Driving license
