Wild Animal Rescue & Advocacy Project Manager (m/f/d)

Your contribution will be

  • Supporting the development of strategies for ending cruel keeping of bears and big cats in captivity
  • Conducting research for projects focusing on ending cruel keeping of bears and big cats in captivity and providing general expertise on relevant wild animal-related topics
  • Supporting wild animal projects and managing and coordinating bear and big cat rescues in collaboration with relevant departments
  • Monitoring relevant news and sharing it via relevant communication channels and maintaining and developing of internal databases that contain information about legislation and numbers of captive bears and big cats in relevant countries
  • Dealing with rescue requests and being able to respond promptly in urgent cases, investigating alleged reports of animal cruelty or neglect
  • Developing relationships and cooperating with a range of stakeholders


Your profile ideally illustrates

  • Strategical and hands-on approach with relevant international experience and global mindset
  • Project management experience, preferably in wild animal and/or conservation projects
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and a solution-oriented approach
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills including presentation skills
  • Full proficiency in English, additional UN official languages is a plus
  • Willingness to travel
  • Ability to plan work and meet deadlines
  • Collaboration and cooperation abilities
  • Great affinity to animal welfare and FOUR PAWS vision and mission
