The first construction phase of BEAR SANCTUARY Ninh Binh was completed in December 2017. Four spacious outdoor enclosures were created for ten to 14 animals each, two bear houses with interior rooms for the bears, a quarantine station and veterinary unit, a feeding kitchen and an administrative building. BEAR SANCTUARY Ninh Binh now offers suitable living conditions for up to 44 bears - this will be expanded until 2020 to 100 bears with your help!
In the meantime, we have been able to rescue and house six bile bears at our BEAR SANCTUARY Ninh Binh. Nhi Nho (formally known as Hai Chan), Thai Van, Thai Giang, Misa, Binh Yen and May were first allowed to recover in our quarantine station before being released into their new home, a large outdoor enclosure. Further bear rescue missions are already being planned.
