FOUR PAWS is the global animal welfare organisation for animals under direct human influence, which reveals suffering, rescues animals in need and protects them. The rescue center for bears is located right in the middle of the Mecklenburg Lake District in the North of Germany. Since 2006, the BEAR SANCTUARY Müritz has provided mistreated and neglected bears with a safe and natural home. Your contribution will be

• Carrying out regular inspections and maintenance work: outdoors, buildings and other structures on the site
• Planning and scheduling daily and weekly maintenance and repair work on all technical systems in coordination with the Facility Team Manager
• Carrying out repairs and renovation work
• Ensuring that the sanctuary grounds and facilities are well maintained
• Assisting in planning and monitoring maintenance and repair work by third-party companies
• Participating in the development of the operational infrastructure across the property and propose improvement measures
• Technical support for events
• On Call duty in emergency situations

Your profile ideally illustrates

• Relevant experience in technical maintenance work
• Hands-On Mentality and skilled craftmanship
• People person who likes to interact with others including guests and staff
• Great affinity to animal welfare and FOUR PAWS vision and mission
• Good German and English skills in written and verbal
• Ideally a driver’s license (B)
