Celebrities who break up with Michael Kors because of live lamb cut wool

We Are Breaking Up with Michael Kors

Stars and style trailblazers stand up for lambs

24.11.2025

Industry insiders and fashion VIPs are done with Michael Kors

When word got out that the Michael Kors brand scored zero on our fashion brand assessment with regard to protecting lambs sourced for wool, a group of concerned creators and animal advocates knew they had to do something. The actors, authors, models, and activists got together at Pollution Studios in Los Angeles, CA, to send a message to Michael Kors: We are breaking up with you.

Michael Kors is 'the worst'

FOUR PAWS recently published a report entitled, Behind the Wool: Transparency on Live Lamb Cutting in Fashion, which assesses fashion brands on their transparency in their wool supply chain and whether those sources practice live lamb cutting (LLC). Live lamb cutting (also called mulesing) is an outdated practice where lambs as young as two weeks old have skin and flesh cut from around their tails and genitals, without adequate pain relief despite available alternatives.

Our investigative report, which included in-store visits and online research across eleven countries, evaluated 102 brands according to their commitment to exclude LLC wool and product labelling transparency, and Michael Kors scored zero for transparency, certification, and commitment. It’s time for Michael Kors to commit to wool free from live lamb cutting.

The video, produced by L.A.-based Pollution Studios, stars fashion model and animal rights activist, Elizabeth Turner; marketing and media influencer Will Moncada; writer and activist, Kathy Freston; actor, content creator and attorney, Shaka Smith; and actor, musician and influencer, Lucy Blehar. Through their participation and subsequent 'breakup' with Michael Kors, these influential individuals hope to make a difference for millions of lambs in the Merino wool industry.

Protecting lambs is not a luxury

Michael Kors has ignored FOUR PAWS’ outreach, failed to disclose measures in their wool sourcing policy, and has not committed to certified LLC-free wool. This lack of action places the brand at the bottom of the industry when it comes to animal welfare.

Join us in calling on Michael Kors to:

  • Commit to certified LLC-free wool
  • Ensure transparent product labelling
  • Protect lambs from unnecessary suffering
