Your contribution will be
- Shaping strategies to improve the welfare of animals farmed in inappropriate conditions in Switzerland and aligning national priorities with international strategic directions.
- Providing highlevel expertise in areas such as animal welfare, farming practices, industry trends, corporate practices, campaigning approaches, public engagement, and regulatory framework
- Developing and executing plans and tactics for campaigns and projects of so-called farmed animals in close collaboration with internal national and international project teams
- Conducting research and analysis to shape strategic decision making and identify opportunities
- Co-creating campaign outputs with internal teams,
- Engaging and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders
- Representing FOUR PAWS Switzerland in meetings, presentations, working groups, coalitions and media interviews
- Contributing to organisation wide discussions, knowledge sharing across teams, and providing mentoring and guidance to colleagues to maximise collective impact for animals
Your profile ideally illustrates
- Passion for animal welfare and FOUR PAWS vision and mission
- Professional qualifications and/or several years of experience in a relevant field, e.g. agricultural sciences, animal welfare, marketing, biology, veterinary medicine, politics, or law
- Experience in campaigning, ideally in the field of so-called farm animals
- Knowledge of the current animal welfare situation in Switzerland
- Understanding of the Swiss agricultural landscape, including regulatory framework
- An established professional network within the Swiss animal welfare sector is an advantage
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Fluent German (spoken and written), very good English, French skills are an advantage
- Motivated, adaptable and driven to make an impact
- Excellent interpersonal communication and collaboration skills
- Skilled at turning complex issues into engaging and accessible narratives
- Willingness to occasionally work at weekend events
