Your contribution will be

  • Being responsible for developing, deepening and driving forward key dossiers to achieve our animal welfare goals in the Netherlands and worldwide
  • Translating subject-matter expertise into strategies and campaigns that mobilise politicians, companies, civil society partners and the public
  • Analysing legislation, policy developments and political opportunities
  • Writing substantive documents such as position papers, letters to policymakers, briefing documents or contributions to reports
  • Building and maintaining relationships with policymakers, businesses, experts and other organisations within the animal welfare field
  • Working closely in teams with our international animal welfare specialists, campaigners and lobbyists

 

Your profile ideally illustrates

  • A higher professional education (HBO) level
  • Several years of experience in lobbying & advocacy, policy work or campaign and mobilisation strategies
  • Solid knowledge of animal welfare and human–animal relations is a strong asset
  • Strong analytical thinking, with the ability to quickly grasp complex dossiers and translate them into compelling campaigns
  • Strategic strength combined with a hands-on approach to execution
  • A proactive attitude, strong persuasive skills and a good understanding of (political) dynamics.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey messages clearly and convincingly in both Dutch and English
  • Passion for animal welfare and FOUR PAWS' vision and mission

  • The salary is in accordance with the guidelines of Goede Doelen Nederland and our internal compensation policy, starting at 45,000 EUR on a full-time annual basis.
