Your contribution will be

  • Controlling and directing food preparation, including creating detailed menus and recipe costing
  • Conducting inventory management and generating weekly and monthly profitability reports
  • Training staff on new menu items and overseeing quality and timely delivery of dishes
  • Delegating tasks, creating daily duty rosters and developing training plans for kitchen staff
  • Supervising cooks, assisting as needed, and ensuring attractive plate presentation
  • Accommodating dietary requirements, planning menus accordingly, and upholding the FOUR PAWS 70% vegetarian/vegan ratio
  • Ensuring ingredient quality control, ethical sourcing, and compliance with health and safety regulations

 

Your profile ideally illustrates

  • Several years of relevant experience
  • Culinary diploma and/or degree
  • Fluent in English
  • Cooking, leadership and organisational skills and business acumen
  • Enthusiastic about food and have an innovative and creative approach
  • Willingness to relocate to Bethlehem, in the Free State
  • Willingness to work extended hours and weekends.
  • Passion for animal welfare and FOUR PAWS vision and mission
