Your contribution will be

  • Being responsible for developing the FOUR PAWS´ Wild Animals strategy
  • Developing and increasing the campaigning approach
  • Developing the political work on wild animals in order to increase impact
  • Leading, directing, and managing the international teams working on wild animals
  • Strengthening an integrated approach for addressing wild animal issues in captivity by liaising with other departments, especially Communications, Fundraising and Sustainable Sanctuaries and the country offices
  • Establishing and developing contacts and relationships with international organisations and partners
  • Cultivating co-operations and networks with external partners
  • Being an active contributor to the overall programmatic discussions within the CPO area
  • Overseeing any developments relating to and affecting wild animals under human control
  • Being responsible for and managing the Departments’s overall budget


Your profile ideally illustrates

  • Educational background in an animal-related field, Wildlife Management, International Management or similar
  • Relevant years of international experience in the area of animal welfare especially wild animals
  • Proven track record in a similar role as programme director or in another managerial position in an international organisation
  • Thorough understanding of project and programme management techniques and methods with experience on a global scale
  • Strong strategic mindset and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to effectively explain complex concepts
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task across different functions paired with a solution-oriented work approach
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills including presentation skills
  • Great affinity to animal welfare and FOUR PAWS vision and mission
