
Head of Wild Animal Rescue & Advocacy (m/f/d)

Your contribution will be
- Identifying and developing international programme strategies for ending cruel keeping of bears in and big cats in captivity in accordance with FOUR PAWS strategy
- Planning, coordination and implementation of these strategies in collaboration with the Wild Animal and other departments
- Preparing and monitoring of international budget for the rescue and advocacy programmes
- Doing control and evaluation and report of content plans
- Identification and selection of relevant projects for big cats and bears
- Supporting for internal and external exchange of knowledge and experience
- Being involved in negotiations with external stakeholders
- Being representative and spokesperson for public
- Representing Wild Animal department on international stakeholder level
Your profile ideally illustrates
- Relevant professional experience in the field of wild animals, international animal transfers, understanding and experience of CITES and other relevant paperwork
- Strategical and hands on approach with global mindset
- Advocacy, lobby, representation and project management experience, preferably in wild animal and/or conservation projects
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and a solution-oriented approach
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills including presentation skills
- Full proficiency in English, additional UN official languages is a plus
- Willingness to travel as well as drivers license
- Ability to plan work and meet deadlines
- Collaboration and cooperation abilities
- Great affinity to animal welfare and FOUR PAWS vision and mission
