Health and Husbandry Specialist - Animal Training and Enrichment (m/f/d)

Your contribution will be

  • Advancing and monitoring the animal training programme based on the wild animal training guidelines of FOUR PAWS with a particular focus on medical training
  • Coordinating and holding animal training workshops for caregivers in FOUR PAWS sanctuaries
  • Advancing and monitoring the enrichment programme in FOUR PAWS sanctuaries
  • Behavioural observation of individual animals kept in FOUR PAWS sanctuaries
  • Designing animal training and enrichment plans for individual animals kept in FOUR PAWS sanctuaries

 

Your profile ideally illustrates

  • Background in animal care and/or animal behaviour; experience with wildlife is beneficial
  • Experience in positive-reinforcement training of animals
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of German is an advantage
  • MS Office skills
  • Strong interest in working with multi-cultural teams
  • Willingness to travel as well as a driver's licence
  • Passion for animal welfare and FOUR PAWS’ vision and mission

  • The yearly gross salary range for this position is 47,000 - 52,000 EUR (full-time base, consisting of 14 payments) according to our internal compensation scheme
