Your contribution will be

• Managing the local execution of global campaigns and program activities
• Researching and providing local insights and advice on Australian animal welfare issues and on occasion, the broader Asia Pacific region
• Contributing to the ongoing development of the organisation’s global strategies
• Working with suppliers and our Communications Team to develop campaign creative concepts, literature, and other outreach materials as needed for local audiences
• Analysing and controling the effectiveness and efficiency of campaigns, through the tracking, measurement, evaluation, and reporting on the campaign
• Representing FOUR PAWS in existing and future alliances and coalitions with likeminded organisations active in animal welfare that strengthen our work and that enable our campaign objectives to be met
• Coordinating, overseeing, and managing project plans to ensure activities are executed on time and to budget
• Keeping abreast of and react to developments in Australian animal welfare policy and legislation, as appropriate. This includes but is not limited to the drafting of submissions, meeting and building relationships with politicians, creating petition actions, or drafting letters of support
• Building and maintaining a network of existing and potential stakeholders, partners and collaborators, including but not limited to politicians, celebrities, academics, members of the public, and fellow animal welfare organisations, that further the delivery of our campaigns and strategy
• Working with FOUR PAWS International team to translate, adapt and develop campaigns for the Australian Market as appropriate
• Growing recognition of FOUR PAWS Australia’s work, and the work of our global organisation, through traditional press and other external media opportunities

Your profile ideally illustrates

• Relevant tertiary qualification or, in the absence of such qualification, sound experience in related discipline
• Proven track record in the delivery of positive change campaigns or actions
• Thorough working knowledge of animal welfare issues in Austraila
• Familiarity with applying best practice campaigning and lobbying methods
• Sound awareness of significant social, economic, political and environmental issues of relevance to animal welfare at a regional level
• Strong networking and external stakeholder management experience, to lead engagement with new and existing stakeholders
• Confident media and/or public speaking skills to effectively communicate FOUR PAWS positions to key target audiences across all levels of society
• Excellent editorial skills with ability to proof-read and edit quickly and accurately
• Demonstrated problem solving skills, including the ability to understand, analyse and synthesise information to achieve information to achieve campaign outcomes
