The Country Operations Specialist is a key contributor to the development and operational strengthening of FOUR PAWS' country operations, bringing different elements of operational tasks together. This role sits in Country Operations International and supports the International Director and Regional Directors in improving existing local presences and transitioning new ones into business-as-usual in coordination with the other responsible teams through structured project management, analytical insight, and effective execution.
Your contribution will be
- Supporting in the analysis and development of expansion plans within a FOUR PAWS country and across the world (in close collaboration with other colleagues outside of the department)
- Supporting strengthening new and existing local presences
- Providing project management support for initiatives, such as transitioning to business-as-usual (BAU) operations following the implementation of a new FOUR PAWS presence
- Analysing and improving operational processes
- Facilitating collaboration between international departments and country teams
- Ensuring smooth execution of operational tasks aligned with organisational goals
Your profile ideally illustrates
- Relevant professional experience in an international context (experience across multiple countries is essential)
- Experience in project management across time zones (ability to manage distributed teams; use of digital tools for remote collaboration)
- Educational background in operations management, law, business administration or a related field is preferred
- Fluency in English, other languages (German, French, Spanish, Russian or other) are an asset
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Understanding of the operational models, compliance requirements, and working environments of international non-governmental organisations (INGOs)
- High intercultural competence and ability to work across diverse teams
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, coordination, and organisational skills
- Confident user of MS Office 365 and project collaboration tools
- Passion for animal welfare and FOUR PAWS' vision and mission

- The yearly gross salary range for this position is 47,500 - 52,000 EUR (full-time base, consisting of 14 payments) according to our internal compensation scheme.
